Cranial Sacral Therapy & Continuing Studies
Cranial Sacral Therapy
with Marshall Amini Peller, S.E.P., and Kellyn Marshall
February 3 - 9, 2007
May 12 - 18, 2007
September 22 - 28, 2007
Cranial Sacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodywork that directly influences the brain and spinal cord. It is used to find and release areas of restriction, re-educate old holding patterns, and calm over-stressed systems and over-stimulated nerves. This beginning course involves hands-on experience as the student learns heightened sensation and perception, self-awareness and specific skills for listening, tracking and interpreting cranial rhythms as they reverberate through the body.
You will learn step-by-step sequences that begin to address dural and fascial strain patterns relating to the tensions of the body. You will learn how to palpate and mobilize cranial bones and membranes, the spinal column, and transverse diaphragms to bring about improved circulation and cellular breath that will nourish all the body tissues. Techniques will be taught for releasing the head, neck, and jaw. This course will increase your understanding of the relationship between injury, attitude and healing.
Participants need familiarity with cranial and spinal anatomy, and sensitive, patient hands.
7 days, 50 hours. Tuition: $695 plus accommodations.
Continuing Cranial Sacral Therapy
with Marshall Amini Peller, S.E.P., and Kellyn Marshall
November 3 - 9, 2007
This continuing Cranial Sacral Therapy training combines a variety of approaches that support the alignment of spirit and structure. Beginning with a basic understanding of the autonomic nervous system and its effects on human responses to both internal and external stimuli, our focus will be the cranial bones and the anatomy of facial expressions. Using advanced practices in grounded presence, compassionate listening and cranial touch, students will learn to link current energetic and physical sensations while helping to dissolve incomplete or blocked responses that cause strain and influence a persons sense of self. Verbal skills, appropriate pacing, and the use of split attention techniques help create a safe, contained atmosphere as we work toward pleasure, freedom, and cohesion.
Prerequisite: 50 hours of Cranial Sacral training and a working knowledge of cranial anatomy and sutural mechanics.
7 days, 50 hours. Tuition: $695 plus accommodations.

Marshall Amini Peller interweaves cross-cultural spiritual practices with somatic techniques for relinking all the senses. A mystic and a bodyworker for over 27 years, Marshalls immersion in Cranial Sacral Therapy and movement therapies has inspired her to specialize in autonomic nervous system self-regulation and post-traumatic rehabilitation. She has incorporated "felt sense" awareness, mindfulness and neutral witness/observer states (focusing, hypnotherapy, guided imagery and somato-emotional release) into her own practices and curriculum as a teacher. Marshall is a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and has added Pilates teacher training to her knowledge of motor/movement re-education. Marshalls comfortable, inclusive teaching style helps bring a culture of acceptance and conscious presence into her classes. |
Kellyn Marshall is a nationally certified massage therapist, somatics instructor and poet. A graduate of Body Therapy Center in Palo Alto, her continuing studies have focused extensively on Craniosacral Therapy, affect psychology, and treatment of chronic pain. Her previous background in emergency medical care and animal behavior gives her a wide understanding of the effects of unresolved trauma on the autonomic nervous system. Kellyns work with both clients and students focuses on multi-sensory awareness and perception, gentle inquiry and self-regulation. Combined with skillful technique, this creative approach promotes healing, transformation and integration of the psyche, spirit, and structure. Kellyn is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and is currently studying the Feldenkrais Method with Frank Wildman, PhD. |
