Heartwood Yoga Teacher Training

with Gayna Uransky and staff
July 5 - 25, 2008

This training has been created for dedicated students of Hatha Yoga who wish to deepen their own practice and develop the skills to share yoga with others.

Most classes will be taught in the Iyengar style of yoga. With its emphasis on alignment and precision, the Iyengar style provides an understanding of the focus and the benefits of each pose. Guest instructors will present other styles like Ashtanga and Kundalini. The training also includes Yoga philosophy, ethics, anatomy, Yoga therapy, Pranayama, Kriyas, Kirtan, and Meditation.

The skills you develop in this training to compassionately give personal attention to each student and to encourage safe and appropriate change through yoga will establish you as a teacher and enrich the experience of your students. Upon completion, you will be prepared to teach beginning level yoga classes.

Prerequisites: 2 years continuous study of yoga and a personal, home-based practice.
