Heartwood is currently looking to fill the following openings in its
Education Department:
Human Sciences Instructor
Experienced Human Sciences instructor sought to teach for the Summer 2008 Quarter--May 26 to August 7, 2008. 40 hours of in-class time over the course of 10 weeks. Subjects include Anatomy & Physiology, Pathology, Kinesiology and Hydrotherapy. Pay is compensatory with experience and skills; room and board are provided. We are a values based organization and community in a remote and inspirational setting. Join our experienced faculty and our dedicated staff in an exciting learning and healing experience.
Academic Administrator
Maintain the routine functioning of the Education Office; keep regular
office hours in order to respond to the daily operations of the school.
Focus is student record keeping, document production and circulation,
school correspondence and communications. Interface with and
assist students, faculty, and other departments. Required: strong
computer, organizational, customer service and phone skills.
Heartwood Institute Wellness Center Aide
The Wellness Center Aide is is available to the Heartwood Community for consultations and check-ins, and is a constant source and resource for education in wellness and wholeness. This full time position requires regular office hours and meetings with Heartwood Operations, Management, and/or Education teams.
Qualifications:
• A working knowledge of tinctures (and how to prepare them),
dry herbs, Chinese formulas, homeopathic remedies and
other manufactured products.
• Strong bodywork background
• Assessment Skills
• Strong communication skills
• Organizational skills for bookkeeping, inventory, and
coordinating with the business office and/ or Welcome Center
• Current CPR and First Aid
• E.M.T. and First responder preferred
• Graduate of Heartwood’s Asian Healing Arts program preferred
