Asian Healing Arts and Whole Foods Nutrition Program – With a curriculum created by Paul Pitchford, author of the groundbreaking and leading edge book, Healing With Whole Foods, this program teaches the latest nutritional science enhanced with an indepth training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and diagnostic bodywork in the form of Shiatsu. This 9 month program is completed entirely in residence at the Heartwood Campus in Humboldt County, California, and is comprised of 810 hours.

Massage and Bodywork Therapist – This Certification Program is tailored to students who can not live on campus full time at Heartwood during their education. Taking their Bodywork, Energy Medicine and Human Sciences courses in a modular way through Heartwood Intensives 1 to 3 weeks in length over a 2 year period, they receive a completely accredited Heartwood Certification, and the title of Massage and Bodywork Therapist. The student is only in residence during the Intensives and can arrange a personalized schedule of classes selected from the Intensive Calendars of the years they are enrolled. The program is based upon 11 weeks minimum of course study, plus tutorials and an externship under the advisement of an instructor at Heartwood, and is comprised of 585 hours.

The student lives on campus for the 3 weeks of the intensive and receives an Accredited Certificate for 140 hours and the designation of Yoga Teacher.

Nestled in the mountains near the Mendocino-Humboldt county borders, the campus rests on 200 wild, wooded acres at an altitude of about 2,300 feet above sea level. The residents of Heartwood benefit from a regular attitudinal freshening from the outside world as new students are welcomed in from all over the world both quarterly, and every 1 to 3 weeks with short-term students during the intensive season, from April throungh November. A series of weekend and 2-day, mid-week workshops is being started up with elective classes available to both staff and students, covering many juicy introductory topics in art, music, hypnotherapy, meditation and the like, with talks and workshops by spiritual leaders being planned as well.
